Search History on Google Maps

Google have added an option to view your recent searches on Google Maps. Your search history is now presented in a panel at the bottom of the map side bar.

Using the new search history option means that users of Google Maps can load more than one search onto the map at one time. The results of each search are displayed on the map by different coloured map markers.

The new feature is really pretty useful. For example, if you are searching for restaurants in an area, it allows you to search for different types of restaurant and then compare your various searches.
